Tiranga Game Guide: Ludo and Board-Room Rules with a Safe Android Setup
Tiranga Game players spend much of their time in board and party rooms, with Ludo as the most familiar title. This guide explains Ludo from the first roll, how game rooms and invites work, how to install the APK safely and what to do when it will not open. Free play, 18+, no money.

Tiranga Game at a glance
Ludo came from the Indian game Pachisi and is simple enough for a whole family to play. The board has four coloured bases, a loop track and a home column. You need to roll dice, choose which token to move and avoid being captured.
The sections below give the full rule set used by most phone apps, a first-game walk-through and a troubleshooting table. Safety comes first: the name “Tiranga” is used by several unrelated apps. Check the publisher and permissions before opening anything, and never use screens that ask for deposits or cash withdrawal.

Tiranga Game APK download guide: install on Android in 8 steps
Android blocks apps from outside Google Play by default. Follow these steps in order. They take about five minutes and keep your phone safe.
Before you download
- An Android phone or tablet. APK files do not install on iPhone or iPad.
- At least 500 MB of free storage and a stable Wi-Fi or 4G/5G connection.
- Battery above 30% and Chrome (or your main browser) updated.
- You are 18 or older and playing for entertainment only.
Never install if…
- The file is called .exe, .zip or .bat instead of .apk.
- A pop-up asks you to pay, recharge or withdraw cash.
- Someone on Telegram or WhatsApp sent you the link.
- The app wants SMS, contacts or call-log access for a card game.
- Tap Download APKThe button below opens our download link (/go/), which forwards you to the current APK. Wait until the file name ends in .apk.
- Accept Chrome’s generic warningChrome warns about every APK. If you started from this page, tap Download anyway.
- Allow installs from your browserSettings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps → Chrome → Allow from this source. Menu names vary by brand (Samsung, Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo). On Android 7 or older, enable “Unknown sources” in Security.
- Open the fileTap the download notification, or open Files → Downloads and tap the .apk file, then tap Install.
- Scan with Play ProtectIf Google Play Protect shows “Scan app”, tap it. If the scan says the app is harmful, stop, delete the file and tell us through the contact page.
- Open the app and grant only what is neededAllow notifications if you want reminders. Deny contacts, SMS and call-log access. A card or board game does not need them.
- Switch the install permission off againReturn to “Install unknown apps” and set Chrome back to Not allowed. Delete the downloaded .apk to free space.

Money ruleIf the app shows a deposit, recharge, bonus-on-top-up or withdraw button, close it. That is an online money game, which is prohibited in India. Free play with virtual coins is the only use this guide supports.

Ludo rules used by most game rooms
Setup
Each player has four tokens in their coloured base. Players take turns clockwise by rolling one die.
Moving
- Roll a 6 to bring a token out of the base onto your start square.
- After that, move any token forward by the number rolled. Tokens travel clockwise around the loop.
- Rolling a 6 gives you an extra roll. Many rooms cancel the turn after three sixes in a row.
- If you have no legal move, the turn passes.
Capturing and safe squares
- Landing exactly on a square with a single opponent token sends that token back to its base.
- Squares marked with a star and each start square are safe. Tokens there cannot be captured.
- Two of your own tokens on the same square form a block in some rooms. Check the room rules.
Winning
Move all four tokens around the loop and into the central home. In many apps you need an exact roll to enter home. The first player with four tokens home wins.
Game room formats

How to play Tiranga Game: your first session
Six steps from opening the app to leaving on time.
- Open the game rooms tabChoose Ludo from the board or party section. Pick Classic for your first game.
- Pick players and a room typePlay against the computer to learn, or join a free public room. For private rooms, share the code only with friends.
- Roll for your 6Tap the die. Until you roll a 6 you cannot leave base. Do not tap repeatedly; the app rolls once per turn.
- Choose which token to moveTap a token. When several are movable, advance one that is about to be captured or one that can capture.
- Protect and captureStop on star squares to stay safe. If an opponent’s token sits within six squares ahead of you, you have a capture chance.
- Bring all tokens homeKeep tokens moving to the home column. The match ends when the first player gets all four home.
Skills and habits that help
Open with two tokens
Having two tokens out gives you choices on every roll, which turns luck into decisions.
Park on star squares when threatened
A single exposed token within six squares of an opponent is at real risk.
Leave your last token last
It is tempting to run a leader home, but keeping a second token flexible helps if you roll a big number.
Count the distance before capturing
Capturing resets progress for the opponent and often decides the match. Check that your landing square is not exposed afterward.
Keep a session limit
Matches are quick, so it is easy to play for hours. Set a timer.
Tiranga Game troubleshooting: fixes for the most common problems
Start at the top of the list that matches your symptom. Each fix is ordered from the quickest to the most thorough. Still stuck? Use the contact page.
The die does not roll
Make sure it is your turn (a highlighted ring appears). Close and reopen the room if the die stays frozen.
I cannot join a friend’s room
Check the room code, confirm both of you use the same app version, and ask your friend to create a fresh room.
The app asks for deposit or withdrawal
Stop. This is outside the scope of this guide and may be a prohibited money game. Close and uninstall it.
Tokens look frozen after a capture
Wait for the animation. If it freezes for over 10 seconds, switch networks and rejoin the room.
“App not installed” appears
Common causes: not enough storage, an older version with a different signature already installed, or a corrupted download.
- Free at least 500 MB.
- Uninstall the old version, restart the phone and install again.
- Delete the .apk and download it again on a stable connection.
“There was a problem parsing the package”
The file is incomplete or your Android version is too old.
- Re-download on Wi-Fi.
- Check Settings → About phone for your Android version and compare with the requirements on the download page.
Download stuck or fails at 99%
- Turn off Data Saver and any VPN.
- Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data.
- Clear Chrome cache, then try again from the Download button.
Blocked by Play Protect
Play Protect checks every sideloaded app. Choose “Scan app”. If the scan completes with no warning, you can continue. If it flags the app as harmful, delete it. Do not switch Play Protect off permanently.
Installed but crashes on open
- Restart the phone and free RAM by closing other apps.
- Update Android System WebView and Google Play services from the Play Store.
- Clear the app cache and storage, then reinstall the latest APK from this page.
OTP or verification code does not arrive
- Check signal and Do Not Disturb.
- Wait 60 seconds before asking again. Repeated requests can lock you out.
- Never share your OTP with anyone, including people claiming to be support.
Game lags, freezes or disconnects
- Move closer to your router or switch networks.
- Turn off battery saver for the app.
- Lower graphics or animations in settings.
- Close background apps and avoid VPNs.
Black or white screen on launch
Usually a web-view problem. Update Android System WebView, turn off “Force dark mode”, restart and reopen. If it persists, reinstall.
Account or password problems
Use only the in-app recovery. Real support never asks for your password, OTP or money. Be wary of “support” accounts on social media.
Fast universal fixRestart the phone, check storage, update Android System WebView, clear the app cache, then reinstall the latest APK from this page.
Tiranga Game VIP strategy: a free progression plan
Ludo-style rooms often include avatars, frames and level badges. These are cosmetic. You can earn most of them by playing daily without paying.

What the law says
The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 and the Online Gaming Rules, 2026 came into force on 1 May 2026. The Act prohibits online money games, whether based on chance, skill or both, and prohibits advertising and facilitating them. It supports e-sports and online social games, which are played for entertainment, recreation or learning.
Offering or facilitating an online money game can be punished with up to three years’ imprisonment or a fine of up to ₹1 crore; advertising one with up to two years or ₹50 lakh. Banks and payment providers are barred from handling related payments.

Roll a 6. Until then every roll is skipped because tokens cannot leave base.
What are safe squares?
Star squares and the four start squares. A token on a safe square cannot be captured.
Is Tiranga Game safe to install?
Any APK installed outside Google Play carries risk. Follow the install checklist, scan the file with Play Protect and review requested permissions. Delete it if anything looks wrong.
Does the game need real money?
